Overview

One of the biggest misconceptions about using art as a medium to develop your mental health is that most people think you need to be an artist. If that was the case, only Sri Lankan artists and artists from other countries would be able to reap benefits from painting.

Paint as you wish

You can take any medium such as a pen, pencil, colour pencils, charcoal, paint, or any other form to make art. Make sure that you follow through to the end and do it when you are feeling down or stressed so you focus on something you enjoy.

View art

Visit Sri Lankan Art Gallery or any other venue that exhibits art when you are feeling down. This can also help change one’s negative mindset.

Share art

Sharing art also has many positive benefits as the feedback and the encouragement you receive can increase your confidence and positively develop your mindset.
