The location
The small village is situated towards the North-eastern region of Sri Lanka, well away from the commercial hub. But then again, luxury hotels like Cinnamon Lodge Habarana are just a stone’s throw away from here.
Cultivations
The village is home to farmers who grow crops like onions. The cultivation here is rotated between grounds as the soil is not that healthy around here. They use the Chena cultivation method where there burn the crops in one field and use the next one.
A watery mode of transport
The waterways are what the villages use to travel between villages. Try to hitch a ride on one of these boats if you dare!
